From April 3rd to May 15th, 2024, as part of the JACES (Arts & Culture Days in Higher Education), contemporary artist Franklin Bault presents his captivating collection titled "Geometry of Light." This exhibition promises to illuminate Montpellier with its unique and innovative aesthetics. Open to all audiences, this exhibition offers an immersive encounter with science, sculpture, painting, and installation, inviting everyone to explore the connections between art and scientific knowledge.
In this exhibition, Franklin Bault draws inspiration from the fields of physics and chemistry. Light, atomic, and molecular structure are themes explored in this artistic proposal. The properties of light harmoniously blend with those of color, while the artist delves into scientific hypotheses about atomic structure, as represented in Mendeleev's periodic table.
This exhibition is the result of collaborations with the COSA Montpellier group and also represents a dialogue with the Richter University Library of the University of Montpellier (Art & Culture Service and the Common Documentation Service), a space hosting this unique fusion of art and science.
