Troubles, the Art of Being Alive.

Thursday, May 16th, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Balard Chemistry Research Center, 1919 Route de Mende, Montpellier

The artist, actress, cellist, and contemporary dancer Anaïs Khaizourane is welcomed in residence from May 13th to May 16th, 2024, at the Balard Chemistry Research building in Montpellier. These days offer privileged moments for encounters and exchanges between the research world and the performing arts, which Balard personnel can enjoy during breaks and strolls through the building. The artist's residency will culminate in an evening performance open to the public titled "Troubles, the Art of Being Alive," on Thursday, May 16th, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Balard building's hall.

Anaïs Khaizourane (http://www.anais-khaizourane.com/) has made multidisciplinarity (theater, music, and contemporary dance) her artistic identity. Nurtured by a dual background in the arts (graduated from the Dijon Conservatory in cello and contemporary dance) and sciences (pharmacist degree and master's in neuroscience), her work lies at the intersection of art and science.

The performance is free and open to the public, with mandatory registration via email at compagnieanaisk@gmail.com or aurelie.bessiere@umontpellier.fr (limited seating available).
